'This Woman's Work'
Hey Everyone,
I hope this finds you all well and happy as you look back upon the year that's nearly over.
I would like to show you this video. A few months ago I recorded a Kate Bush cover called 'This Woman's Work' at my brother's studio. The song is from a man's perspective as he is about to enter fatherhood and the fears, regrets and helplessness he is experiencing. I was driving back from the studio after the session, wondering about what we could do to get the track out there, when I heard a radio feature about the maternal mortality rate in South Sudan. The statistics are frightening. A woman in South Sudan has a 1 in 7 chance of dying during childbirth.
To cut a few months of brainstorming, planning and filming short, myself and the very talented Vic Rose ended up making this film. It features 15 gorgeous men who gave up their time and showed how brave they are (thank you to all of you). It was an emotional project to create and Vic and I are so happy with the outcome -
The track is exclusively available on iTunes and all proceeds from sales will go straight to Medicins Sans Frontieres (MSF) to their appeal in South Sudan where they are running programmes to help the death rate situation. In the last 12 months, MSF staff have assisted the delivery of over 11,000 babies and their help is ongoing.
Please buy the track, make a donation and share the video and it's message as much as you can. I know it's not a particularly Christmassy offering to you all, but perhaps it might be a refreshing resbite from sleighbells, snow and Santa? Plus, as I say, all proceeds for the track will go straight to MSF so you'll be doing something warm and charitable!

Once again, I want to Thank You for your ongoing patience, support and encouragement. 2015, I am coming to get you.
I wish you all an extremely Happy Christmas and a Beautiful New Year,
